Born and raised in Middle Tennessee, Jeff Roberts respects hard work and the dedication it takes to do a job well.
Jeff grew up in Gallatin, Tennessee where he was part of a working-class family. His father spent his career working in a factory or driving an 18 wheeler; his mother worked as a teacher’s aide in the Sumner County Schools. The hometown values and working class struggles pushed Jeff to work just as hard for his future. As a result, he became the first college graduate on either side of his family after earning political science degrees from both Volunteer State Community College and Middle Tennessee State University. He worked three separate jobs during these years to help pay his way through college. While in college he studied Wado-Ryu Karate and he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. After graduating from MTSU Jeff began his career as an insurance claims adjuster. That experience opened his eyes to the tactics and methods insurance companies often use to deny legitimate claims or to pay as little as possible. It wasn’t long before Jeff became disheartened with his job after seeing how some insurance companies, including his employer, unfairly treated people whose lives had been turned upside down through no fault of their own. That’s when he decided to leave the insurance industry and to use his experience handling insurance claims to help make a positive difference in the lives of everyday, hardworking people. He enrolled in the Nashville School of Law and attended classes four years at night while he worked full-time at a Nashville personal injury law firm during the day. After earning his law degree and license in 1999, Jeff Roberts devoted every day of his legal career to protecting the rights of injured and disabled people. Injury claims he has worked include: workers’ compensation, automobile accidents, premises liability cases, ERISA long-term disability denied claims and disability denials. He is admitted to practice in all courts of Tennessee, the U.S. District Court of the United States for the Middle District of Tennessee, and the U.S. District Court of the United States for the Eastern District.
He went on to co-found a very successful Nashville law firm that focused its practice on plaintiff’s personal for almost 14 years. In 2013, Jeff received an exclusive invitation to attend an intense month-long course at the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming. While at “The Ranch” he enhanced his legal skills through self-discovery and he expanded his professional network to include lawyers from around the country. Together Jeff and fellow lawyers regularly collaborate on complex and catastrophic injury cases. Since that time he has worked with other lawyers on cases from Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, New York and Texas.
In 2016, Jeff formed his own law firm, Jeff Roberts & Associates, PLLC, where he continues to represent injured clients throughout Tennessee. Jeff’s practice continues to mainly focus on plaintiffs’ personal injury, workers’ compensation, civil rights violations, and disability claims. His office is located in the heart of downtown Nashville in the “Fifth Avenue of the Arts District,” the same place he has been since 2002. The historic Ryman Auditorium can be seen from the front door of his office. He has been elected to the Board of Governors for the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, selected by his peers to be admitted into The National Trial Lawyers “Top 100” for Civil Plaintiff work, and he was most recently admitted to The Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Jeff has been a featured guest with Nick Beres on NewsChannel 5’s “Ask The Legal Expert” morning talk show. He has taught Continuing Legal Education seminars to fellow lawyers in Tennessee, Arkansas and North Carolina.
When he’s not in the office, Jeff Roberts can be found spending time with his family. Together they enjoy traveling, boating, fishing or duck hunting with his sons.

I prayed for help & the Lord sent me Jeff
A year ago I had a terrible multi car accident. Being a fairly intelligent individual, I decided to settle my insurance claim on my own. I gathered all the information from the other drivers on the scene. I gave the police report with the other drivers. I even contacted the other party's insurance company and my own. I was optimistic (because I was not at fault) I'd get quick responses to my claim and medical needs. Unfortunately, I had not idea what was in store. My nor the other insurance companies were will to work with me at all. Plus the police report incorrectly identified me as the cause of the accident! I needed real help and medical attention. Through searching on the internet, I found 3 attorneys of interest. Jeff was the only one to return my call & thank God he did! He and his team helped me through the year long process. They provided guidance every step of the way! From helping me get needed surgery and rehab to dealing with the insurance companies & correcting the Police Report. Jeff and his team were there anytime I needed. Having a major accident is a life changing experience than many don't survive. Without Jeff, I would not have recovered from this accident to the degree I did nor would I have survived the insurance companies! There are lots of attorneys to choose from, but if you have an accident in Tennessee- you only need one & his name is Jeff Roberts! Feel free to call me directly to verify this review. My name is Neil 615-573-6877.
